Microsoft has revived Windows XP, which launched in 2001 and has become a staple in personal computers for many years, with an unusual collaboration. The company partnered with slipper brand Crocs to create a special line of Windows XP-themed slippers. However, these products are currently available for limited availability.
Windows XP-themed Crocs released
A limited edition of Windows XP-themed Crocs was produced to commemorate Microsoft’s 50th anniversary. The slippers feature colors and graphic details inspired by Windows XP’s iconic “Bliss” wallpaper. They are also adorned with icons reminiscent of the operating system’s user interface.
Decorative accessories featuring images such as the recycle bin, Internet Explorer, and the classic Windows cursor are also included. A small bag inspired by the Bliss wallpaper is also included.
Currently, this special Crocs model is available only to Microsoft employees. The price is $80. No announcement has been made regarding when it will be available for general sale, which markets it will be available in, or the total production run.
Crocs has attracted attention in the past for its collaborations with various brands and cultural figures, but this time, its design partnership with an operating system that holds a special place in technology history was an unexpected move. This integration of Windows XP into modern streetwear created an unusual intersection in both the worlds of technology and fashion.
